Earth Song we focus on organic growing practices and the virtues of Mother Nature.. From the snow high up on the surrounding mountain tops, to the animals that chase away dangers, to the bright sunny days that sweeten our grapes, we center our attention on making sure our vines are tenderly cared for. Using frost protection in the early spring to preserve newly formed buds and continuous canopy management to allow air flow and sunshine to keep the vines and grapes happy and healthy. Our hands-on approach and attention to detail provides our wine maker with the best elements possible for producing amazing wines.
W ith more than 22 years of global experience in wine-making, Linda Donovan has become a leader in the Southern Oregon wine industry. Linda lends us her experience and knowledge to help us turn our grapes into award winning wines.
She began her career while earning a degree in Enology at the University of California/Davis. From there she interned at the Robert Mondavi Winery and shortly after than became responsible for all experimental (small lot) wine-making for Beaulieu Vineyard, even being published in the American Journal of Enology and Viticulture for a paper on Pinot Noir clones. She was also lucky enough to work with one of the world’s greatest winemakers, Andre Tchelistcheff and of course making world-class Pinot Noir at Flowers Vineyard and Winery in the Sonoma Valley. From there she took her experience and began making her own wines and those of the vineyards in the Southern Oregon region. Linda has a full understanding of the chemistry and the microbiology of wine-making, coupled with a complete knowledge of processing and equipment.
